Gepard Candy beanie
Candy is the pattern for a beanie that can be made in a night, but at the same time a great project for stash busting and/or to play around with matching the colours of many strands of yarn. Candy is also a great beginner's project – something not too big on big needles!
Size: S (M-L)
Yarn: 125-150 g in total. This beanie is perfect for using leftovers from your yarn stash, as it is
worked with multiple strands of yarn. You will need at least 65-70 meters of each strand.
We have used the following yarns from Gepard Garn:
A: Wool yarn; 2 strands of Sømandsgarn (2
x 40 g) or Pura Lana (2 x 50 g) or 1 strand of thick yarn as Puno + B: Kid Seta, 3 strands x 70 m
+ C: 1 strand of HØR.
Or you can just use 1-2 strands of a chunky wool yarn, as for the turquoise beanie.
We have used Pura Lana for the brandy coloured beanie and Sømandsgarn for the pink one
Needles: Circular needle or single point needles 9 mm, in Koshitsu bamboo from Seeknit og Gepard.
Gauge: Approx. 8-8½ sts and 12 rows in stockinette st with needles 9 mm = 10 x 10 cm.
Always make a gauge swatch before starting the actual work. Adjust needle size if necessary.
