TRS Sea snake sweater
The ’Sjóormurin’ pattern (English: seasnake) is found in many variations on the Faroese sailor sweaters. A cardigan adorned by this pattern is found on the Danish National Museum and a reconstruction of this cardigan was exhibited on the Danish War Museum as an example of the sweaters common wear for men in the Danish 19th century countryside. Here, Kirsten Fanger from Traditionel Strik has used the pattern for a soft sweater knitted in Pura Lana.
The pattern is in Danish.
