Gepard Cashmere Lace
Cashmere Lace from Gepard Garn is 100% cashmere of the finest quality. The more you wash it, the softer and more voluminous your knitting becomes. It’s a truly unique, luxurious yarn—the best the market has to offer.
Yardage: 25 g = approx. 330 m (360 yds)
Needle sizes: 3–5 mm / UK 11–6 / US 2.5–8
We’ve switched from skeins (hanks) to round balls so you can start knitting right away. It’s also simple to work with double strands by pulling one strand from the outside of the ball and the other from the inside.
Our basic colors are marked with a “B” under the color number (for example, 101 B). We’re expanding the range of basic colors, making it easy to find the perfect shade to match Pura Lana, Wild & Soft, or other yarns used alongside Cashmere Lace, such as LinenSilk (HørSilke) and Woolia.
- You’ll need about 1 ball of Cashmere Lace for a small scarf, 3 for a large triangular shawl, and 4–6 for a women’s sweater.
Many designers—like Myfavouritethings.Knitwear, OtherLoops, and others—love pairing Cashmere Lace with Pura Lana or Wild & Soft for an incredibly soft, luxurious fabric. Give it a try and see how you can replace a long-haired Kid Seta with Cashmere Lace, as it provides a similar fullness without the a kidsilk yarn.

Made in Italy
For high quality cashmere, long, uniform fibres are used - unlike cheaper cashmere which is often produced from unsorted, mixed cashmere with short fibres and varying quality.
Cashmere is a strong, wash durable fibre. The more you wash your cashmere, the softer it gets. If you're knitting a shawl to give as a present - then wash it before giving it away.
Have attention on that our cashmere yarns are already carefully washed befor we put them on balls. During the washing proces we loose 10-12% of the weight. The washing proces also give space for a lot of air in the yarn = volume. If we not washed the yarns, we could offer the yarn minimum 12% cheaper. But we prefer to give you the best yarn with a lot of volume. In the end you will have a better result and use less ball/yarn for your project.
