Gepard Cashmere Lace - Unika
100% cashmere that meets many different needs, partly because it can be knitted with one, two, or even three strands at once to achieve various gauges, and also because it’s available in such a wide range of colors.
The difference between Cashmere Lace and Cashmere Unika is that Unika colors are a kind of “leftover” from our spinning mill when they produce for the fashion industry. These colors are incredibly beautiful and on-trend, but once a shade is sold out, it never returns in exactly the same tone. We usually have a given Unika color in stock for 4–24 months, but this depends on how quickly it sells and how large our leftover amount was. If a particular color is important to you, we recommend buying extra or asking us about our current stock. We often take the most popular Unika colors, dye them again, and add them to our Basic range under Cashmere Lace Basis and Cashmere Klassik.
If you want to offer your customers the very best 100% cashmere, you should sell Cashmere Lace. At Gepard Garn, we only use long, uniform cashmere fibers that ensure the highest quality. This yields an exceptionally soft, durable result with a beautiful finish—one reason many customers are willing to pay extra for this specific yarn.
The wide array of colors in Cashmere Lace makes it easy to combine shades in a pleasing way, whether you use only Cashmere Lace or blend it with other yarns.
Cashmere Lace is also easy to use as a companion thread, often replacing Kid Seta or silk mohair to give customers a fine, soft result without the fuzzy surface. You can knit it as a single strand, double strand, or triple strand, allowing for precisely the gauge your customers need and making the yarn suitable for many different projects.
Finally, the skeins are wound so that knitting with two strands at once is quick and convenient.

For high quality cashmere, long, uniform fibres are used - unlike cheaper cashmere which is often produced from unsorted, mixed cashmere with short fibres and varying quality.
Cashmere is a strong, wash durable fibre. The more you wash your cashmere, the softer it gets. If you're knitting a shawl to give as a present - then wash it before giving it away.
Have attention on that our cashmere yarns are already carefully washed befor we put them on balls. During the washing proces we loose 10-12% of the weight. The washing proces also give space for a lot of air in the yarn = volume. If we not washed the yarns, we could offer the yarn minimum 12% cheaper. But we prefer to give you the best yarn with a lot of volume. In the end you will have a better result and use less ball/yarn for your project.
