Sømandsgarn / Sealord is an exquisite, classic wool yarn which is very well suited for all the classic knitting techniques; Guernsey, Aran and Fair Isle.
Sealord only takes 3-5 150g skeins per sweater.   

Sealord is a special yarn in the fact that you can tightly knit a sweater on needle 3½ - 4 mm, and it still feels soft and pliable. But because of the flexibility of the wool,  you can also knit on 7mm needle and make a sweater that will keep its shape.  

Sealord has a retro look but feels soft and with no scratchyness at all. The knitted surface becomes just slightly shaggy, which makes the sweater water and dirt repelling. Any lint is easily plucked off.

Sealord is also perfect for wet felting and home dyeing.
