TRS Rhomb Hat
The hat is worked in the round bottom-up, starting with a ribbed edge folded over and ending with extra length in the top. Make the hat with the rhomb pattern or basic in one color. Mix your own colors with yarn following options:
A: a combination of Kid Seta and My Fine Wool with the two threads held together in the main color and pattern color (only the rhomb option) respectively
B: a single thread of Pura Lana or Wild Wool Silk.
Pattern is in Danish and English.
Needles
2.5mm (US 1.5) 40 cm (16") circular needle for the ribbed edge and hat. Either a second 2.5mm (US 1.5) circular needle for ’Working with two circulars’ see photo below or set of 2.5mm (US 1.5) double-pointed needles (dpns) for the top.
Change needle size if necessary, to obtain correct gauge.
Gauge
30 sts x approx. 38 rows = 10 cm (4") in stockinette stitch and pattern using 2.5mm (US 1.5) needles.
Sizes and Measurements
Child (Teenage/Women’s/Men’s S-M-L, Men’s XL) / A head circumference approx. 52-55 (56-59, 60-63) cm- [201⁄2-211⁄2 (22-231⁄4, 231⁄2-25)"].
Tip: A fitted hat has an approx. 5-10 % negative ease. Be aware of the gauge when working in pattern, as the elasticity is smaller than when working in a single color.
