TRS Setesdal Hat II
Hat knitted in two colors bottom-up with a pattern from Setesdalen. Chart 1 is the original pattern and Chart 2 is a variation, with the large x-pattern adapted to a larger circumference.
The top of the hat can both sizes be knitted reading Chart 1 or Chart 2 with the colors reversed.

Tips: A fitting hat is knitted approx. 10-15 % smaller than the head circumference.
Yarn requirements
1 (1) skein main color and 1 (1) skein pattern color of DK weight yarn 50 g e.g.:
Pura Lana 50 % alpaca/ 50% ecological wool, 50 g = 115 m,
Wild Wool Silk 40% wild tussah silk/ 60 % merino wool, 50 g = 135 m
My Wool 100 % soft merino wool, 50 g = 125 m all from Gepard www.gepardgarn.dk.

Gauge
22 sts x 28 rows = 10 cm (4") measured over stockinette stitch in pattern using 3.5mm (US 4) needles.
Needles
2.5mm (US 1.5) circular 40 cm or double-pointed needles (dpn) for the ribbing.
3.5mm (US 4) circular 40 cm or double-pointed needles (dpn) for the crown.
Either a second 3.5mm (US 4) circular needle, or set of 3.5mm (US 4) dpn for the top.
Change needle size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.
Handwash using wool-friendly detergent, dry flat
